Description
SWAP is the Higher Education Academy subject centre for Social Policy and Social Work. The 24 discipline based subject centres aim to enhance the student learning experience by promoting high quality learning, teaching and assessment and by supporting social work and social policy educators.
This site was built in 2002 and I took over maintenance and development of it in 2006. I have completed amendments to the home page design (adding a central headline story panel) and added new features like a database driven book review section. The features many design issues centering around navigation and code style (it's a table based layout with font tags embedded in the code of each page). Currently work is underway to replace the site with a modern design using the TeamSite content management system provided by Southampton University.
